Hello, and welcome…
I am a writer based in New York and Los Angeles. I am currently working on my debut novel, GRIMOIRE (working title), a Young Adult contemporary fantasy (think Pan’s Labyrinth/The Golden Compass), and collaborating on a feature film screenplay with noted film and commercials director Marcus Nispel.
As a journalist, I contributed to Glamour, The Los Angeles Times Magazine, Marie Claire, Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, among many others. There are some samples of my work in the links above. I left journalism in 2010 to concentrate on writing fiction, my real passion.
My literary agent is Mitchell Waters of Curtis Brown Ltd, and I am a member of the Author’s Guild.
In 2004 I moved permanently to the US from the UK. Prior to that, I contributed to The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph, The New York Times, and The Evening Standard. I attended University College, London (UCL), where I majored in Linguistics, before dropping out in 1994. My first job was as an editorial assistant at The London Times.
